I literally stared at my screen for a while before starting this post because I felt like I have lost my creative juice due to me being away for a while but I’m back and I’d start by saying Happy New Month (onyinye you aren’t late at all oh). February was cool while I was away, I was working on somethings and my skin is one of them. So I’m sharing the goodies houseofcoco sent to me to help my troubled skin.

Before they sent me their products, I had breakouts due to “that time of the month”, stress and change of environment. My forehead was full of spots and I  stopped my normal routine (read about it here) because of laziness. Do you ever just get back and be like nahhhh I’d wash my face in the morning? That was me mehn but the laziness stopped when I got these babies. So let’s explore their products.

PACKAGING

The product came in a white bag which I would keep for a long time and it had a thank you card in it which is what I look forward to seeing when I receive a package.

PRODUCT REVIEW

• EXFOLIATING FACE AND BODY SCRUB: 
  

  This has to be my favourite product from this set. It smells amazing, like there’s a night I left it open so that my room will smell like it. The scrub is A SCRUB so don’t think it is mild at all. It leaves my face feeling good especially when I cleanse well before scrubbing.

•  4-in-1 cleansing Toner and Anti-Acne Facial Wash:I call this a power combo. The wash is really good. I haven’t had breakouts since I started with it, It isn’t exactly soapy soapy so you don’t have to worry about it drying out your face. The toner is very mild and it just makes your face feel relaxed especially if you’ve been under the sun all day

•  LIGHTENING & NOURISHING FACE CREAM (DAY) AND DERMAL REPAIR LIGHTENING FACE CREAM (NIGHT)If you watch the unboxing on my instastory, I mentioned how curious I was to know the difference between the day and the night cream. The major difference is the absense of lemon oil in the day cream and this is good because having lemon or anything citric on your face during the day without sunscreen can be bad for your skin. So this treatment cleared the black spots I had on my forehead due to the breakouts. It’s a mild moisturizer so it won’t leave your face looking like under of pot (really oily).

•  BODY MIRACLE SERUM & SOAP: Miracle is the right word to use to describe these products. It is a wonderful combination if you have issues with hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone.

SERVICE

One thing I love about HOUSE OF COCO was the fact that the owner messaged me before sending me the products to know exactly what issues my skin had before sending her product. So there was a consultation before the products were sent. No wonder they worked so well. She also went through the steps for each product so that I don’t abuse them and they work well.
