RFW|| MY FAV LOOKS & WHAT I WORE

HELLO YOU. I’m super excited about this blog post, because this is the first of its kind. It’s quite lengthy so grab a snack. So let me jump right in. Your girl here went for her first fashion show, although it was less than what she expected, it was still great. I got to see amazing pieces from Desiree Iyama, Carl Cobain, 6ixfifteen, le shoks, Sonia Jerrry and other amazing designers. There was so much creativity, originality, style and beauty dashing through the runaway. I could see a lot of time being invested to produce every single piece. If you’re a designer and you’re reading this, you guys really rock.

So after seeing all the pieces I decided to come up with my favourite looks  from each designer, these are pieces than I would love to own and wear someday. There are about 7 of them, so have fun looking at them.

VOURD BY SONIA JERRY: statement bags

I really love this line because of the statement bags or should I call it purses. They will go well for an outstanding dinner look.

Desiree Iyama: Nigerian prints (ijesha inspired)

I absolutely love what Desiree Iyamah has here, it was inspired by her tribe and that’s super amazing plus the colours are sooo gorgeous. ( Desiree Iyama was one of the women that inspired me last year, read about it here)

Carl Cobaine: multi-coloured blazer and pants

This blazer was literally speaking to me. I know this year I’m not a fan of colours but this is exceptional.

ARCHIVE: polka dot

lol i had to ask google for the correct spelling of “polka dot”. Before RFW I thought polka dots where for just girls for the dresses and skirt but this right here is nicee and these models rocked it well!!

6ixfifteen: poncho

This is a really great piece and also looks good on the models. I’m really loving the pants in the second picture.

What I wore

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Now to what I wore. It was my first fashion show so I went for something neutral and simple plus very comfortable (if I remove the heels). I love the fact that my look was all me, I styled myself and did my make up myself. I had to rush the make up because I thought the event had started meanwhile it wasn’t close to starting smh. My favourite thing was the waterfall jacket and bag which I thrifted. I was so grateful that my natural hair obeyed throughout the event (coconut oil works!! and bobby pins), it really gave me that simple look which I aimed at.

Phew! You reached the end, you deserve a prize lol. So if you’ve attended a fashion show please I want to know how yours went and tell me if you’ll wear what I wore to a fashion show.

It is less than a week to the end of the February, keep working on those goals. Yeychii loves you. Till next blog post…
