Hello, lovely readers of this blog. I really wonder what keeps you coming back to my blog but I’m glad you always come back. Today’s post is something personal but I decided to share because I’m not the only person this has happened to and I’m glad I learned from it.
Now I took a break from blogging in July because things weren’t right, I misplaced my focus, love and the reason why I started blogging. I started blogging because I wanted to share my views on things of life and fashion. I enjoy sharing knowledge so why not have a website and add some pictures. My first year of blogging was great like I wasn’t the most consistent blogger but every time I hit publish I feel so fulfilled and happy. Blogging was fun for me.
After I hit 1yr of blogging I got myself a domain, new logo, and theme. I was ready to take blogging to the next level and I was ready to work with brands. I set really high goals and the numbers became my focus. It was how to grow your blog traffic article here and there. Had different plugins to help with that. There wasn’t a day I will do without checking the stats like 5 times. I just expected everything to be fast and quick
Gradually I realized it became a burden to edit pictures and write. I became upset with the look of my blog and I even wanted to change the look again but someone told me the issue wasn’t with the look but myself. I needed to be contented then grow my blog.
So yeah I went off for the month of July because I wanted to fall in love with blogging again and yes!!! I did. I had to focus on the reason I wanted to blog and my love for hitting publish and not all the time on the growth. Yes, the numbers will come but don’t make it your focus. Let love drive you.
Now you may not be a blogger but wherever you find yourself in life let your love for something drive you. Now I see why the Bible says love is the greatest fruit of the spirit. If you ever find yourself struggling to do something then ask yourself where your love for that thing is and call it back. Even in school my love for being called an Engineer someday is what’s keeping me up at night.
I really hope we all act from the place of love in this life. Life is beautiful and has a lot to offer. I love you so much and of all my blog posts this is my favorite. I got inspired by Maryam Salam of fashionbydaisy.com. Have a fruitful weekend and Till next blog post…

Nice post dear. This really spoke to me. I recently discovered that i have lost my sense of focus, I’ve lost the reason, the passion behind me wanting to blog. I think i need to take a break for a while to rekindle my passion.
