HEY HEY!! Welcome to the month December, the last month of the year. It feels so good to be back home. When I hear December I feel it’s a month to reflect, basically think about the year since January and looking back at my life I can definitely see lots of changes and growth.
I must confess that a lot of women have inspired me this year and we all know 2016 was the year of #girlpower…there were so many women rising especially in the career sector and they were major sources of inspiration to me. So let’s see the women that inspired me:
- MY MUM: Every mum should be a source of inspiration to their girls yeah?? Well mine was to me. She was there for me, you know giving me the words and pushing me far from laziness. Sometimes I just want to sleep and forget school the I remember her words to me. So thumps to mama, I hope to get more of that in 2017.
- SOLA FAGBEMI ( www.solafagbemi.com ) She was the first person to teach me about blogging through her blogging class and even after she was there to answer my questions even the dumb ones. She exposed me to blogging basics and other things. I absolutely love her humble spirit, her style and when she started her fashion line I was like “go girl!!!”
- CASSIE DAVES ( www.cassiedaves.com ) :
She totally has to be a source of inspiration to every girl or let me say to every blogger. She is one awesome creature, I mean a medical doctor, model and blogger like what??!!! Plus her amazing blog planner (just ordered mine tho). Her blog is so fun to read and it reveals her awesome personality. The way she drops blog post like water is quite inspiring too.
- IFEOMA AMADI ( www.whowhatfab.wordpress.com. ) This is my woman crush 2016, from the very first day I stumbled on her instagram and her blog I have been stuck to it. I haven’t seen anyone with a personality like hers…she is so real and so so creative. She is definitely an inspiration to student bloggers out there like me.
- ODUNAYO OYINKANSOLA of Simispeaks : So of all the women that have inspired me (asides my mum), she is the closest to me. She is someone I admire so much and I’m glad to have worked with. She is like always there pushing me to become a better me and her kind spirit kills me. Her vlog is something I love love love to watch. She is some young ambitious kid with an awesome smile (her smile inspires me to smile)
- DESIREE IYAMA (www.desireeiyama.com) :
I think I have a thing for bloggers that turn entrepreneurs. She has to be one of the female entrepreneurs that really went up this year. She has accomplished a lot and she is still a student like wow! She is someone that has inspired me and I would love to work with.
- JOYCE MEYER:
- If I get the chance to meet this woman in person I will probably jump on her and shout MUMMY!! (I am that crazy). I’ve learnt a lot from this woman especially from her books, I think I read about 4 of her books this year. I must say that every time I hear her message or read something from her my spirit gets lifted up. She has definitely taught me to let go of the past and never forget God’s love.
So there you have it, the women that have inspired me this year. I am dying to hear yours so pls comment below, hopefully my name is on the list *fingerscrossed*. Have a blessed week guys and I wish you all the best with your holiday plans. Till next blog post…
