Hey hey!! Happy new month. Your girl here is done with her 3^rd year in school and I’m so glad. It was one long year but here is the holiday and I’m hoping it’s even longer.

So from a recent poll on my Instagram, Y’all said you want the post on how to make money this summer. Now I’m no money making expert, I hope to put these tips also to good use. Also, none of these tips would work if you’re not determined and consistent. It’s not something you try once and give up. I guess we can begin…

• Start a service in your neighbourhood; there are people around that could be in need. You can try babysitting or go to the market or delivering breakfast or make hair.Please don’t see it as little, very soon your service would be needed around town.

• Work at events; we all know summer holidays are packed with events which sounds like $$$$ to me. If you’re a fan of cooking, get yourself a stand and sell your food at an event. There tons of other things you can sell like clothes books and products. Also, you can be an MC or an usher or a photographer. Just push yourself out there

• Write for blogs and magazine; this job is the chilled one because you don’t have to go out. So if you’re not exactly a fan of going out and you love to write then you can write for blogs be it fashion, gist, music or beauty and lifestyle blogs. Just make up a juicy CV and send it out.

• Be a freelancer; this has to be the most said way to make money. There are a lot of freelancing sites but I’d recommend upwork. Getting your profile approved is not beans that’s why I said this thing requires determination. Upwork is amazing because it has a large niche. You can design for others, be an academic writer, be a social media manager, a fashion writer, a photographer, a virtual assistant, a consultant and you can program for some cash. You’d find what suits you right there. In case upwork doesn’t work out there is Fiverr or people per hour.

• Monetize your blog or influence; if you have a blog or a vlog or a huge and active following then you can monetize your influence. Work with brands at a cost. Simply create a media kit and pitch to brands. Remember to be consistent and ensure you give the brand the value of the money.
