HEY HEY! How was the weekend ? I must confess, last week was so stressful, I had tests, practical and other stuff but to God be all the glory the weekend was relaxing and I strongly believe this week is going to be better.

So now let’s get to the gist before I bore you with my life… today am taking the spotlight off me to a wonderful person, so talented and gifted. He is someone that can do something I can’t do which is model (yes I can’t model). Allow me to introduce Tega Salubi, an award winning model, student and friend. He has worked with so many brands like Made brand, Tito Okolie, MOE Photography, Owonibi Anjola, PhotoBox, Cliq media  just to mention a few. So let’s meet Tega

  • How has modelling been so far?

It has been great. I’ve had to work with some really awesome photographers who put their all into what they do. This makes me want to work extra hard and give it my best. I’ve got to admit I love what I do.

  • So Tega you recently won an award how was that for you?

Oh yeah, the award was for the model of the year category in the Campus Heat Awards 2016. Well it was very huge for me because it opened doors for more opportunities as the platform brought a great deal of recognition. But in all, we give thanks to God.

  • You’ve worked with different brands in the past let’s talk about the future, what brands would you love to work with?

He he, well I would really love to work with a lot of brands, but let me not bore you with the long list. Let’s just say, eleanorgoodey photography, TY Below, prince meyson photography,… just to mention a few.

  • Tega you’re currently a student and a model how do you balance this?

Honestly it’s not easy, but God gives me grace. As passionate as I am for modelling, I never let it get in the way of my studies.

  • Asides academics and modelling, what else are you doing or would love to do?

Ermmm, well most people don’t know but I’m also into acting (you see why I said this guy is talented *zips mouth* Tega continue)… I can easily give you an Oscar winning performance that’ll sweep you off your feet and I’m serious, no kidding (but we weren’t laughing na)

  • Tell us who is your biggest fan, someone that has been supporting your modeling career since day 1?

That’ll be victor, a very close friend of mine. Always there to support and motivate me. Big ups to him

  • The greatest challenge you’ve faced with respect to modelling

Haha, this one’s easy, well when I first started modelling. I had this issue with keeping a straight face. At the slightest thing when shooting, like when the photographer is telling me to give him a fierce look or tilt my head a bit, I just burst into laughter. It really affected me then, but now I’m over that. I’m more serious and professional than I’ve ever been before.

  • Your personal style, what’s it like?

Well I’m a very simple person, really don’t play with colours. I just stick to the dull and neutral ones, but also I’m never afraid to step out of the box. Anything goes for me

  • If you were going somewhere far for a while and you could take only 5 pieces, what 5 pieces would you take to slay?

A pair of faded blue jeans, some cool kicks, a baggy shirt, a pair of sunglasses and of course a gorgeous smile. You can’t go wrong with that.

  • What is your advice to people who aspire to be models someday

Never give up on yourself, if you know it’s really your passion, go for it and put your all into it. Trust me hard work and persistence pays .

Yeep so that’s Tega. He has inspired me to learn a little bit of modelling and I basically can’t model because I laugh too much but if he can overcome that, then maybe I can too.

So pls comment below, tell me what you think about Tega and modelling in general. Kindly subscribe if you haven’t. Have a lovely week ahead. I love you and God loves you more. Till next post…
