It was on my holiday list to travel to somewhere nice and relaxing but that’s not happening due to unforeseen circumstances. As a girl that can’t rest, (like my parents would say) I still wanted to explore the places around me that’s why I jumped at a trip to Tarkwa bay with my blogger friend, Yinka.
It was my second time at the beach but my first time as a blogger and close to the water. I was a bit not sure of what to wear as I do not enjoy showing off much skin. Luckily for me, Konstant K which is a Nigerian fashion brand sent me the piece I wore to the beach.
I really love the outfit, it is comfortable, it gave room for me to play around and enjoy the water. The details on the chest was giving me some northern vibes. It was awesome being in the west feeling like you’re in Zanzibar and dressing northern. See traveling is a thing of the mind lol
Now I have read lovely reviews about tarkwa bay and also seen lovely pictures, that’s why I decided to come here. So I decided to give my own review because it was one hell of an experience.
So getting there required us to take a ferry from CMS to tarkwa bay which costs 300 naira. The ride was quite long and might be scary if you’re afraid of alot of water. I arrived tarkwa bay and initially, I thought we would be dropped at the beach and won’t walk much but sadly we were dropped in front of the village. We had to walk quite a distance to get to the beach. The walk to the beach wasn’t funny as there were a lot cornered roads, hot beach sand, and dogs which I detest. Luckily for us, we had someone lead us to the beach and he gave us a shed, seats and a table. We were three and we paid 1,500 naira for everything. We then paid another 200 naira per head for the entrance fee.
The beach looked really lovely, the water was really blue and as a blogger that I am, all I could think of was PICTURES!!. The water was warm and relaxing and a little bit clean. It was a Wednesday so the beach wasn’t rowdy just a few people and the people who live at the bay. Just beside where we sat were some funny men, who were drinking and making jokes.
My favorite part of the beach was the rocks, and the feeling of the sand from under my feet being carried away by the water. I kept on reminiscing that feeling in my uber till I got home. Tarkwa Bay is lovely, it is really far but I must say I’m glad I went there. Ensure you use sun protection in case you ever visit there, the sun there does not joke.
I hope this post inspires you to visit the beach this weekend or chill at some nice spot. Let me know in the comment If you’ve visited tarkwa bay. Feel free to recommend a place for me to visit in Lagos. Have a lovely weekend

It’s such a nice place, not too many people are there like other beaches so it’s good for relaxing
This is beautiful, nice embroidery. I once visited Tarkwa bay back in secondary school with my school mates. It was truly a wonderful experience.
Thank you dear. Glad you love the place too
