Hello Ladies!! Hope the week went well for you. I am so glad the weekend is here, even though my week was free due to the public holidays but still am happy.

So earlier this week I saw this picture on instagram and it literally caught my heart.

You see women are so after the saying “what a man can do a woman can do better”. This shouldn’t be so.

Let me start by saying the purpose if something determines its design. Now looking at a man and woman physically they are different (I can’t really explain because am not into biology). Their designs are different which means their purpose too is different. Simply as a woman you can’t act like a man because your purpose and design is different. You weren’t created to do the things men do, so kill the saying what a man can do a woman can do better. Looking at the saying it creates a competition between men and women. You are different from a man physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. You were created to do the things men can’t do. The relationship between men and women shouldn’t be a competition but a communion. See it as, okay I have what you don’t have and you have what I don’t have so let’s team up.

It would be foolish to say a shampoo is better than conditioner why? They don’t have the same purpose or design (constituents). Stop trying to be better than men and just be the woman God created.

Looking at creation, God said it is not good for man to be alone (Gen 2:18). Alone doesn’t mean lonely. Alone = All+ one. Alone simply means all in one which means Adam had everything. Then God took out of Adam to make Eve (Gen2:21-22).  So Eve had what Adam lost. Similarly women have what men don’t.  So you’re a unique woman stop trying to compete with men, stop trying to be the upgraded version of men.

So many women have tried to compete with men and have lost their identity in the process. The have also lost love for who they really are which leads to an unfulfilled life. Embrace your uniqueness as a woman and live the life that God wants you to live.

You’re a woman not a better man; I want you to say it over and over. If you’re not convinced write it and stick it on your wall, your mirror or your door, somewhere you will look at every day. So the next time someone tells you what a man can do a woman can do better show them this blog post.
